“Water” secures Migos’ sixth top 10 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs among 43 total entries. The trio of Quavo, Offset and Takeoff previously visited the tier with:
Mustard, meanwhile, claims first Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs top 10 in his fifth appearance as a credited artist. Having previously released material under the name DJ Mustard, he tops his prior best showing, a No. 12 peak via his featured role on Ty Dolla $ign’s “Or Nah” in 2014.
As a producer, however, “Water” marks Mustard’s 16th top 10. The sum includes two No. 1s: Big Sean’s eight-week leader “I Don’t F**k With You,” featuring E-40 in 2014, and Rihanna’s “Needed Me,” which reigned for two weeks in 2017.
The hitmaker moves into a four-way tie for the most top 10s production credits on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in the 2010s, matching Kanye West, Matthew “Boi-1da” Samuels and Mike Will Made-It. The quartet trails only Noah “40” Shebib; best known for his work with Drake, he boasts 17 top 10s this decade.
